Queen - The Geatest Hits

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I have been listening to Queen since the first day I knew 'We Are The Champions' and 'We Will Rock You'. One of the greatest rock band on earth and they had released uncounted of greatest album due to their popularity and good songs. Queen is a British rock band and they were so popular in the 1970's and 1980's, almost the same era with Beatles and Rolling Stone. They are well known for the sports anthems which is 'We Are The Champions' and you can hear it almost played in every stadium around the world. While I was listening to their songs, I saw Mack mentioned that Brian May, the guitarist, has his own blog Soapbox.

Intel to 'reveal wireless chip' - WiMAX

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Intel is revealing the wide-range wireless technology on Monday. It is the new chips that will use Wimax technology. Wimax stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access and it is specialising in point-to-point broadband wireless access.
Scott Richardson, general manager of Intel's broadband wireless business, said Wimax equipment was probably still too expensive for wide adoption, but that Intel and networking equipment makers were working to push equipment costs below $200 (£110) from the $300 to $500 level.

"Most of the world does not have (broadband) infrastructure," said Mr Maloney.

"For most of the world this will be how they will get broadband," he said.
Most of the countries doesn't have braodband is either too poor or political unstable and how they can afford to have such technology if it is too expensive? Can Malaysia use this technology to reach more remoted area especially in Borneo?

From Yahoo News,
KUALA LUMPUR (Dow Jones)--Telekom Malaysia Bhd. (4863.KU) will invest around MYR300 million for the initial launch of its high-speed third-generation, or 3G, phone service, called Celcom 3G, on May 17, the New Straits Times says.

Edible User Interfaces

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Believe it or not. Edible User Interfaces (EUI) is an application that let you taste the food through your computer with some add on hardware.
The TasteScreen system consists of an LCD monitor with a USB on the top. The internal chamber of the USB device contains twenty small plastic flavor cartridges filled with various flavoring agents. The TasteScreen device can drip controlled quantities of flavoring into a deployment chamber, where they are mixed and dispensed. When dispensed, the flavoring chemicals drip down to coat the monitor with a thin liquid residue.

A user can sample the dispensed flavor by touching his tongue to the computer screen. Certain combinations of flavoring agents recreate a flavor appropriate to the user’s task.

Music From Vanilla Sky

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
For those who like music from movie and a little diverse, this is one of the great album. Artists from R.E.M to Radiohead and Paul McCartney are the few that everyone love their songs so much. If you watched this movie, you will noticed that some of the soundtracks are not featured in this album which I think make this soundtrack a little dissapointed. There are many more good tracks from the movie such as Joan Osborne, One of Us where Tom Cruise sang this track too. U2, Wild Honey also played in this movie and many other great songs. The whole movie is bout great music from the beginning till the end but I think it is the recording policy that don't want to fit everything in a single CD. Pretty sad.
1. All the Right Friends - R.E.M
2. Everything in Its Right Place - Radiohead
3. Vanilla Sky - Paul McCartney
4. Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
5. I Fall Apart
6. Porpoise Song {Theme from "Head"} - The Monkees
7. Mondo '77 - Looper

Floating Logos Project

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Good Stuff! Check this out!
'Floating Logos' is a working title for this project. The images are inspired by signs perched high atop very tall poles in order for people to view them from a very long distance. The poles are digitally removed from the image in order to give the illusion that the signs are disconnected from the ground as they ominously float above us.

What Do You Think About Putrajaya?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Putrajaya is formerly known as Prang Besar is the new administration of Malaysia. As we all know, the city is named after the Malaysia first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. International Herald Tribune published article title Malaysia's tidy new capital: Strict rules and tranquility and I found some of the interesting points here where words from the leaders and residents there.
Samsudin Osman, president of Putrajaya Corporation,
How much did the city cost to build?
"I don't have the figures myself," Samsudin said during the interview.

Anwar Ibrahim, former deputy prime minister,
"There was no debate," Anwar said in an interview. "It was the decision of one man." He added that contracts had been awarded "only to those who were very close to the leadership."

Fikri bin Ahmad Jamani, resident,
"There was more entertainment there," he said. "There was snooker and video arcades."

Khairy Jamaluddin, a member of the ruling political party and the prime minister's son-in-law,
"We convinced her (prime minister's wife, Endon Mahmood) to move in, but it still needs renovation," he said.

Tiger's Engineers Trading Cards

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
WOW! Are they have become an icon or what to have their trading cards? As far as my knowledge is concern, trading cards used to be about celebrity, sports or my favourite, comics. According to wikipedia, a trading card or collectible card is
A trading card (or collectible card) is a small card which is intended for trading and collecting. Such items are argued to have great potential for appreciation and can become collector's items. Trading cards are traditionally associated with sports; baseball cards are especially well-known. Modern non-sports trading cards often feature cartoons, comic book characters, or television series. They can also be associated with trading card games.

In some jurisdictions, trading cards (particularly baseball cards) are distributed by police officers to children in order to boost public relations.

Microsoft Media Center PC Concept

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Media center concept is the next big thing for both Microsoft and Apple to meet the new lifestyle in the technology world. But this is still few years to go and currently they are still fighting for their own OS between Longhorn and Tiger.
Most people say that what is holding back the home theater PC from the mainstream is the ugliness, noise, and general unstable nature of PCs. If MS could find a manufacturer to sell Media Center PCs like this, I'm sure they'd have an easier time getting people to try them out.

Use Google To Find Video, Music & E-books

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Don't just use Google for news, information or your friends' blogs but search for more than you can think of.
1. Music
No music no life. Music is part of everyone life. I google unprotected directories that people usually leave it in the internet.
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3
Using this string we are using the "index of" and the inurl commands to attempt to isolate directories only. The mp3 tag on the end tells google to look for mp3s in these open directories. You can change this to wma or ogg if you wish.
Example,
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "beatallica"
This command will find open directories with mp3 files with Beatallica. Obviously you can change the band name or file type to better define your search.

2.Video
Again we can search hidden directories that full of video and Google Video Program is up now.
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:asp intitle:"index of" +(wmv/mpg/avi)
Example,
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:asp intitle:"index of" +(wmv/mpg/avi)+sincity
This will lead you to any video files that contain Sin City.

3.E-book
Looking for free e-books? This is the solution to google your favourite items.
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip)
What does all of this mean? The -inurl htm and -inul html is attempting to get rid of regular webpages and show just index pages. Looking for index of in the title is doing the same. Using the pipe ( | ) tells google to look for something OR something else. Here were are telling google to look for book or ebook directories... and we have listed several common ebook formats (zip, pdf, chf).
Example,
Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip) +"o'reilly"
This uses the same idea but attempts to focus on directories that contain O'Reilly stuff. It's not perfect, but it's better than paying.

Got it now? As simple as eating nuts. Enjoy.

Firefox Downloads @ 45,865,565

When I check the spreadfirefox.com, the downloads counter is at 45,865,565 and it is still counting. You can see the live counter running at www.infocraft.com with some explaination how the counter is counting. Mozilla originally known as Phoenix and briefly as Mozilla Firebird headed by Mitchell Baker. Recently Mitchell was selected as one of the TIME 'World's 100 Most Influential People". For me the most significant features which I like are the pop-up blocker, tabbed browsing and the live bookmarks which Internet Explorer is far more behind compare to the Firefox browser. Firefox is no longer an alternative to Internet Explorer but otherwise.

Chewing Gum Can 'Enhance Breasts'

A chewing gum which the makers say can help enhance the size, shape and tone of the breasts has proved to be a big hit in Japan.

B2Up says its Bust-Up gum, when chewed three or four times a day, can also help improve circulation, reduce stress and fight ageing.

Beatallica - Parental Advisory

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Beatles plus Metallica become Beatallica. This band play Beatles songs as if they where covered by Metallica but I pretty impressed by the resulted tunes. The band founded in the year 2001 by singer Jaymz Lennfield, guitarist Krrk Hammetson, bassist Kliff MacBurtney and drummer Ringo Larz. Do you see their names? Hehe. All the songs played by the band are strictly non-commercial policy adn it is free for download to avoid any legal problems that will arise but the band was recieved notice from the Sony/ATV Music Publishing which states that they are violating the copyright for Beatles.

Big City = Loneliness

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Like the big city life? Some positive and some negative. For me, big city is the place that create more opportunities than other places to achieve your dream. You can get anything you want from job to entertainment which for youngster is heaven. Considering again how good is a big city like Japan,

-Drunk salarymen vomiting everywhere, especially on the platforms while they are trying to catch the last trains -- I have seen more vomit on an average Friday night in Tokyo than I ever saw at Oktoberfest.
-Trains so overcrowded at rush hour that people have to be squished into the car by white-gloved train attendants.
-Annoying department store music that repeats itself over and over again.

Respect The Dignity Of Human Life

DSCN7362
Originally uploaded by lil aNNa.

When we look to the unborn child, the real issue is not when life begins but it is when love begins. Abortion=One Dead+One Wounded. The controversy between Pro-Choice and Pro-Life is never ending with both have their own reasonable reasons to argue about. I neither Pro-Choice nor Pro-Life but I do believe that the unborn child is human but sometime abortion is safer than childbirth. How about human cloning? Why the biotechnology wants to clone human embryos? And it is not only to harvest their stem cells but it is human embryos. This definately would lead to killing of the human embryos.

Windows XP SP2 Blocking Tool Expires Today

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
SP2 is unstoppable now. Are you ready or not?
APRIL 12, 2005 (IDG NEWS SERVICE) - A special tool that blocks the download of Service Pack 2 on Windows XP PCs will expire today, ending the last SP2 respite for users who rely on the Automatic Updates feature in Windows to keep their systems up to date.

Microsoft Corp. released SP2 in August of last year. Taken aback by customers who use Automatic Updates but weren't prepared to deal with the service pack, Microsoft provided a way to set a Windows registry key that instructs the system to skip downloading and installing SP2, but still download other critical updates.

Aimee Mann - The Forgotten Arm

I like Aimee as a story-teller more than a singer. Her fifth solo release is a concept album about the story of a boxer and his girlfriend as they fall in love and road trip across America in the early 70's just before the end of the Vietnam War by the Grammy and Oscar nominated singer/songwriter. Her most successful album is the Magnolia Original Soundtrack and one of the best soundtrack so far.
Tracklisting:-
1. Dear John
2. King of the Jailhouse
3. Goodbye Caroline
4. Going Through the Motions
5. I Can't Get My Head Around It
6. She Really Wants You
7. Video
8. Little Bombs
9. That's How I Knew This Story Would Break My Heart
10. I Can't Help You Anymore
11. I Was Thinking I Could Clean Up For Christmas
12. Beautiful
The album produced by singer/songwriter Joe Henry and it was recorded over just five days last summer. I think this is a really great straightforward rock album.
"Joe makes records really fast and he makes them in a very natural way," says Mann. "He sort of cast the members of the band well"--including Sheryl Crow's guitarist Jeff Trott; Julian Coryell on additional guitars; Jebin Bruni on keyboards; bass player Paul Bryan; and Victor Indrizzo and Jay Bellarose on drums--"and then we just made the record fast and simple."
If you like the album go get the original copy which will be out in May in all the the major store.
