Just Do It - Nike Lists Abuses at Asian Factories
Nike has just released a report that documenting abuses at its factories around few countries in Asia and for the first time the giant company also revealing the location of all of their operating factories.
Between 25% and 50% of the factories in the region restrict access to toilets and drinking water during the workday.
The same percentage deny workers at least one day off in seven.
In more than half of Nike's factories, the report said, employees worked more than 60 hours a day. In up to 25%, workers refusing to do overtime were punished.
Wages were also below the legal minimum at up to 25% of factories.

You know, Nike isn't the only one guilty of this. Many other clothing manufacturer operate sweat shops too, including Reebok, Adidas, Esprit, etc.
The thing is, this is not slavery. The workers themselves choose to work there after all. The conditions are appalling, but the workers can work off the job if they want to right?
capitalism and job opportunities are the issues here. who can deny the existance of this two? it is blended together.

how do they manage 60 hours a day cause i seem to be able to only find 24 hours a day in my life
