What Do You Think About Putrajaya?
Putrajaya is formerly known as Prang Besar is the new administration of Malaysia. As we all know, the city is named after the Malaysia first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. International Herald Tribune published article title Malaysia's tidy new capital: Strict rules and tranquility and I found some of the interesting points here where words from the leaders and residents there.
Samsudin Osman, president of Putrajaya Corporation,
How much did the city cost to build?
"I don't have the figures myself," Samsudin said during the interview.
Anwar Ibrahim, former deputy prime minister,
"There was no debate," Anwar said in an interview. "It was the decision of one man." He added that contracts had been awarded "only to those who were very close to the leadership."
Fikri bin Ahmad Jamani, resident,
"There was more entertainment there," he said. "There was snooker and video arcades."
Khairy Jamaluddin, a member of the ruling political party and the prime minister's son-in-law,
"We convinced her (prime minister's wife, Endon Mahmood) to move in, but it still needs renovation," he said.
